Drake NBA’s Most Annoying Fan?; Jrue Holiday Takes Over; Harden’s Step-Back | Out of Bounds

On today’s show, Gilbert Arenas and the #OutofBounds crew get right to the important stuff — Denzel Washington movies. What’s to debate? He’s a national treasure and can do no wrong. Moving on to sports, with three NBA playoff Game 2’s played last night, Gil and the guys get into the biggest stories. Has Raptors ride-or-die Drake — who was popping much sh*t to the Wizards — officially become the NBA’s most annoying celebrity fan? Will small-market Milwaukee ever put the pieces around Giannis to become a serious title contender? How are the Pelicans winning without Anthony Davis being the go-to guy? Looking ahead, OOB dives into tonight’s slate of Games 2’s. How can the Cavs fix their suspect D? What version of “Playoff P” will Paul George bring when the Thunder host the Jazz? How can the Timberwolves stop James Harden? And is his step-back legal? Moving to another star-studded hoops league, OOB caught up with players and coaches at the BIG3 Draft and talked about changes to the league, how players are approaching season two, physical play, trash talking, and more. Plus, Hibachi explains what it will take for him to join the BIG3. Finally, in “Fair or Foul,” the team weighs in on president of adidas North America Mark King saying the company would want to sign polarizing QB Colin Kaepernick IF an NFL team signs him. Is it just lip service? Taking advantage of his name? And how would actually signing him affect business? Last but not least, Gil inserts himself into other people’s personal lives, talking about Candace Parker’s $400K alimony payment.

Rich the Kid Drops Full Version of Lil Uzi Vert Diss “Dead Friends”

Rich the Kid kicked his Lil Uzi Vert diss track out into the real world Monday.

9:00 am “Dead Friends” on #Beats1🥀🥀🥀

A post shared by Rich The Kid (@richthekid) on Mar 26, 2018 at 8:14am PDT

“Dead Friends” premiered on Zane Lowe's Beats 1 Show, the latest entry of which also featured an interview with Rich about the story behind this World Is Yours cut. When Lowe asked him to clarify what he's saying on this track, Rich at first said he was “just letting people know how money changes people.”

Lowe then pointed out the obvious Uzi references, noting that—and this is quite worth noting—Uzi and Rich are “fundamentally different” artists. “It's funny because I made this record months before all that, and so whatever darkness comes to light,” Rich said. “So you listen to the song, you know what's going on. Billboard don't lie.”

Asked if his issues with Uzi were mere “entertainment,” Rich said he's just waiting on an Uzi response. “You know you can't write better than me though,” he added, calling Uzi a “singer.”

A video for “Dead Friends,” directed by Louie Knows, is expected shortly. Apparently, Rich's team hired an Uzi lookalike for the shoot.

Anyway, The World Is Yours is out Friday. Rich's 14-track debut album features appearances from Kendrick Lamar, Rick Ross, Khalid, Quavo, Offset, Chris Brown, Jay Critch, Swae Lee, Offset, and Trippie Redd.

Trippie Redd Speaks About Not Being Included on “God’s Plan” and Hints at Future Drake Collabs

Drake's new single “God's Plan” is the No. 1 song on Billboard's Hot 100 chart for the third week in a row. Producer Boi-1da says he “instantly” knew it was going to be a smash, and Drake is now calling the accompanying music video “the most important thing I have ever done in my career.”

Basically, less than a month after its release, the song is already a massive hit and a huge success to everyone involved. It would feel horrible to miss out on an opportunity like that, right? Ask Trippie Redd. Before the song's release, most fans assumed the buzzing Ohio rapper would be on “God's Plan” when snippets of an early version played by Trippie's DJ leaked online after it was played at a New Year's party.

No one knows for sure why Trippie didn't end up on the final version of the song, but his DJ said, “Snippet was out for too long. Since last year. New Year's gained it too much traction. Trippie only finished half his verse so I'm guessing Drake wanted to capitalize off the buzz. Him and Trip got plenty shit together they good.”

On Thursday, a fan commented on Drake's Instagram post and tagged Trippie, writing, “You missed a MASSIVE opportunity.”

Seemingly unconcerned, Trippie replied, “You right I'm not gone be salty about it tho I got plenty of time to have the opportunity again.” Then, he alluded at future collaborations with Drake by adding: “1400/OVO”

Since the release of “God's Plan,” more footage of Trippie Redd in the studio with Drake and 40 has surfaced. Trippie also told Big Boy he has more songs with Drake: “They're in the works, they still need to be mixed and mastered.”

So, while it must have been a disappointment to miss out on his first No. 1 hit, it sounds like Trippie will have more opportunities for an OVO collaboration in the future—building on a wild 2017 that saw collabs with DRAM, Travis Scott, Swae Lee, and more. He also teased a song with Lil Wayne recently, which you can hear below.

French Montana Starts Fundraising Campaign to Build Maternity Centers in Uganda

A few weeks ago, French Montana and Swae Lee headed to Kampala, Uganda to film their “Unforgettable” video. In the footage, you can see the locals bust out their best moves for the cameras:

But it doesn't end there.

Everything began back in Februrary when French went on YouTube and saw videos of children dancing—the same ones you now see in the “Unforgettable” video. He was moved by the joy the children found in dance, despite their circumstances, so he decided to go to Uganda to find them and include them in the clip.

While he was in Uganda for the shoot, French met a local advocate and (as a result) he pledged to build a maternity center in the East African nation. Furthermore, he has put together a global initiative to help raise funds for future maternity centers across the country. You can see a short video that recaps the whole story below:

So far, he has donated $100,000 to Mama Hope to build an expansion for the Suubi “Hope” Health Center in the rural village of Budando. He's also encouraging both his peers, friends, and fans to do the same.

His partnership with Mama Hope has also led to him continuing his #UnforgettableDanceChallenge in an effort to get money for ambulances, premature incubators, cribs, and a blood bank (in addition to the aforementioned construction of the Suubi “Hope” Health Center expansion). Other stars, including Drake, DJ Khaled, and Diddy, have already taken their shot at it. The tally of participants is currently at over 50,000 #UnforgettableDanceChallenges around the world and counting.

Swae Lee Allegedly Posts and Deletes Sex Tape on Instagram

Swae Lee allegedly posted a brief sex tape on Instagram late Monday night, then deleted it. According to a PHH report spotted by XXL on Tuesday, the Rae Sremmurd member wiped the alleged clip from his Instagram account roughly 30 minutes after uploading it.

The video, which we won't link to here for reasons that should be obvious, allegedly shows Swae Lee having sex with an unknown woman in a white tank top. Though neither party's face appears in ripped versions of the alleged clip, the cameraperson can—according to HotNewHipHop—be “identified as Swae by the tattoos on his right forearm and hand.” At the time of this article's publication, Swae has not publicly commented on the alleged clip.

At any rate, 2017 is shaping up to be a very Sremmurd year. Days after releasing the golf turn-up video for their SremmLife 2 deluxe edition single “Swang,” the duo was announced as special guests on The Weekend's forthcoming Legend of the Fall tour. The tour, in promotion of The Weeknd's Billboard-topping Starboy album, is set to kick off next month:

Rae Sremmurd talked with the Guardian's Kate Hutchinson in January about their recent successes, outlining their party-first ethos. “Young people wanna rage, that's what we wanna do,” Slim Jxmmi said. “We wanna bang our heads against the TV. We wanna bang our heads against the wall. We want to stomp through the floor.”

Rae Sremmurd Respond To Youtube Comments About “Black Beatles,” Hint At Techno Release [VIDEO]

For A-list stars like Tiësto, Adele and John Mayer, no release is safe from the swirling hive of Internet trolls and complaints. The acts with the biggest followings are always subject to harsher criticisms, regardless of their work’s quality. And unfortunately for hip hop duo Rae Sremmurd, their own material isn’t exempt.

With Billboard Music and BET Awards under their belt, it’s safe to say that the Atlanta-based duo is flying high above the average realms of stardom. Their two albums, hit singles and live performances have quickly skyrocketed them into the upper echelon of hip hop/pop fame, leading to an inevitable tidal wave of Internet hate along with it.

In a recent feature with Noisey, the duo sat down to read out some of their “Black Beatles” Youtube comments in person. The track was most recently made famous for its inclusion in the viral meme sensation, the Mannequin Challenge, where participants would freeze in place while the track played overhead.

From straight insults to more nuanced forms of trolling, the two wade their way through the muck on one of their most popular videos to date. At one point, member Swae Lee even said they might make techno as part of a new style. “You never know,” he said.
