Amber Rose Reveals How Kanye West Has ‘Bullied’ Her Over the Last 7 Years

In our new episode of Everyday Struggle, Amber Rose spoke at length about her previous relationship with Kanye West and how it still affects her to this day.

“I still have never said anything mean about Kanye,” she explained. “This is after six, seven years of constant bullying from him.” One moment she highlighted was 'Ye's infamous tweet storm in early 2016 that included the rapper talking about Rose and Wiz Khalifa's son, Sebastian. “You don't say nothing about my baby,” she told Joe Budden, DJ Akademiks, and Nadeska.

“I was quiet for so long. I could have got a reality show just off the fact that I was his girlfriend. I could have wrote a book just off the fact that I was his girlfriend. I said, you know what? I'm a real ass bitch. I'mma take the high road and work my ass off, and I'm going to get everything I get on my own, so nobody can be like, 'Yo I gave her that.'”

“The only thing I got from him was fame, and fame don't get you no fucking money,” she continued.

Rose also talked about My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy and how she views that album as a form of bullying from West as well. “Everyone else thought it was just about me, and it wasn't… I had to just take that L,” she said.

She added: “If I was going to kill myself, I would have done it during those times.”

R. Kelly Has Reportedly Hired Bill Cosby’s Former Lawyer

As he fights another round of sexual abuse allegations, R. Kelly has reportedly beefed up his legal team by hiring a well-known attorney.

According to The Daily Mail, sources said the 50-year-old R&B artist has enlisted the help of Monique Pressley, a Washington, D.C.-based lawyer who represented Bill Cosby in his sexual assault case before stepping down. Pressley was known as one of Cosby’s most outspoken supporters, appeared on major news networks to dismiss the mounting rape accusations against her client.

“Allegations from decades ago, allegations from women who never bothered to go in and make a complaint to police and in most instances, claim that they didn't tell another living soul,” Pressley said on CBS This Morning in late 2015. “So if a judge chooses to consider from a prosecutor such testimony, then we will deal with that at that time.”

Pressley has not commented on her decision to resign from Cosby’s case.

According to The Daily Mail, the attorney specializes in civil litigation, crisis management, and communications. She has also been an ordained evangelical minister for the last decade.

Last week, Kelly came under fire after Buzzfeed published a story that accused him of leading an “abusive cult” in which he manipulated and controlled the lives of young women. Kelly has since denied these allegations:

“Mr. Robert Kelly is both alarmed and disturbed by the recent revelations attributed to him,” his lawyer, Linda Mensch wrote in a statement. “Mr. Kelly unequivocally denies such accusations and will work diligently and forcibly to pursue his accusers and clear his name.”

Fyre Festival Founder Billy McFarland Released on $300,000 Bail (UPDATE)

UPDATED 7/2/17 3:15 p.m. ET: Fyre Festival organizer William “Billy” McFarland has been released on $300,000 bail after spending at least one night in a New York detention center following his arrest on wire fraud charges.

“The judge, Kevin N. Fox of United States District Court in Manhattan, set Mr. McFarland’s bail at $300,000, to be secured by $50,000 in cash or property,” reported Ben Sisario of the New York Times. “Mr. McFarland’s lawyer, Sabrina P. Shroff, said that he had been released after the hearing on Saturday, and that he had one week to satisfy the bail conditions.”

The Times also reports Shroff is a public defender, and Shroff told reporters McFarland was unable to pay his previous lawyers enough to continue representing him.

McFarland’s assets, or lack thereof, will likely be a point of contention during the trial. An unsealed, Department of Justice criminal complaint against McFarland released Friday, accused McFarland of misrepresenting his assets and his company's worth to convince investors to financially back the Fyre Festival.

See original story below.

The disastrous Fyre Festival from this spring that resulted in hilarious memes and a very public dragging of Ja Rule, will potentially have more serious results for its founder, Billy McFarland. Friday, the Department of Justice announced the unsealing of a criminal complaint charging McFarland with wire fraud.

“As alleged, William McFarland promised a ‘life changing’ music festival but in actuality delivered a disaster,” acting Manhattan U.S. Attorney Joon Kim said. “McFarland allegedly presented fake documents to induce investors to put over a million dollars into his company and the fiasco called the Fyre Festival. Thanks to the investigative efforts of the FBI, McFarland will now have to answer for his crimes.”

In April, the inaugural Fyre Festival was canceled at the last minute, leaving some attendees stranded in the Bahamas, as paid celebrity promoters and previously booked music acts distanced themselves from the event.

The charge of wire fraud carries a maximum sentence of 20 years in prison, though the DOJ noted the potential sentencing was only disclosed for illustrative purposes.

According to the unsealed complaint, Fyre Media earned less than $60,000 in revenue from approximately 60 artist bookings between 2016 and 2017. However, the DOJ accuses McFarland of telling investors that Fyre Media earned millions of dollars in revenue from thousands of artist bookings from at least July 2016 until April 2017. The report went on to blast McFarland for providing “materially false” information to investors and putting on a festival that was “widely deemed to have been a failure.”

You can read the entire criminal complaint against McFarland and Fyre Media LLC at the Department of Justice website.

Drake Requested Jay Z’s ‘4:44’ at a Restaurant Because He’s All of Us

You don't live under a rock, and are therefore aware that Jay Z's 4:44 has generated a buttload of buzz in the 18 or so hours that it's been available on Tidal so far. Hov's 13th studio album has generated plenty of positive reactions from fans and public figures, a well as his peers

Speaking of peers, Drake walked into a Baltimore restaurant on Thursday night/Friday morning and requested that the business pump it out on their speakers, which certainly beats listening to it on the train or in a cubicle while pretending to get some work done.

According to the Baltimore Sun, the public listening party went down at Azumi at Harbor East (so if you're an area resident who decided to cancel your plans there at the last second you can now quietly say “Fuck, dude,” to yourself).

The Sun further reports that Drake was sitting out on the patio with five friends when at (or around) midnight he asked whoever runs the music to put Jay Z's newest album on. The restaurant, understandably, obliged.

“While we normally have our own DJ's music playing through the speakers, we were able to accommodate him and they listened to Jay Z's 4:44 album in its entirety,” restaurant group spokesman Joe Sweeney said to the Sun. “Several people walking along the Harbor East promenade approached him for photos and he was more than happy to take pictures with them.”

Sweeney also added that bartenders, servers and management made comments praising how nice Drake was. That would appear to include Twitter user @XOXOCandice, a Drake fan who put together an extensive Twitter thread about her chance encounter with him (we're talking nearly 40 tweets here):

Anyway, one can only wonder if he caught any subliminal shots or not.
