Jay Z’s Roc Nation Sports Landed One of the Most Exciting Players in the Upcoming NFL Draft

Penn State Nittany Lions running back Saquon Barkley has joined Jay Z's Roc Nation Sports. The decision was made official on Wednesday when Barkley posted a photo of himself with Hov.

Other notable NFL players who have signed with the sports management agency include Jacksonville Jaguars running back Leonard Fournette, Los Angeles Rams running back Todd Gurley, and Dallas Cowboys wide receiver Dez Bryant. “It was a really easy decision,” Barkley said, per ESPN. “A lot of people came around my way, but they were focused on me and they did a great job at selling my family on setting me up for life, bringing value outside of football. I felt like it was harder for other agencies to pitch that family feel when they were working with 30 or 40 guys.”

Barkley has made it clear to every NFL team that he's more than just a threat running out of the backfield. The Whitehall, PA native has the potential to be a franchise talent for the organization willing to take a chance on him.

This year's 2018 NFL Draft will be begin on April 26 at AT&T Stadium in Texas.

Steve Stoute Wins Jay Z’s Fantasy Football League

JAY Z and D'USSE Cognac Host The Official Legends of the Summer After Party - Chicago

By Sowmya Krishnamurthy

Jay Z had a big year but even he couldn’t reign supreme in his fantasy football league. Complex shares that longtime friend and Translation Marketing owner Steve Stoute took home the top prize in Jigga’s fantasy football league.

Hov’s league apparently also included celebs like NBA star Chris Paul, and the rapper asked ESPN experts like Matthew Berry to help him with his draft. “Congrats to @stevestoute for winning THIS in the GUTS fantasy football league aka Jay-Z’s lg,” Matthew Berry tweeted, along with a photo of a championship ring recently.

He may not have won fantasy football, but Jay takes real-life sports very seriously. In 2013, he launched Roc Nation Sports and signed baseball star Robinson Cano and Kevin Durant.

Jay-Z Working On $20 Million Deal With Samsung Mobile?

By Andie Lowenstein

Jay-Z’s business empire is rapidly expanding building, with new reports claiming that he is set to sign a $20 million deal with Samsung Mobile.

According to the New York Post, Hov is apparently looking to set-up a music streaming service to promote acts signed to his Roc Nation label, including Rita Ora, Alexis Jordan, and J. Cole, via the company’s smartphones. This new streaming music service would give Dr. Dre and Jimmy Iovine’s “Daisy” subscription service some competition.

It’s said that the eight-figure deal will be finalized in the next few weeks. Back in March, Universal Music Group signed a two-year deal with Samsung for their Kleek music streaming service. Just one month later, Jay-Z and Roc Nation signed a partnership with Universal Music Group and Live Nation worth $150 million.

That’s not all for Jay-Z though. Hov’s Roc Nation Sports announced on April 25 that Skylar Diggins, third overall pick in the 2013 WNBA Draft, had signed with the sports agency. Diggins is a five-time USA Basketball gold medalist and four-time All-American at Notre Dame.
