Maisie Williams Shoots Down ‘False’ Reports About ‘Game of Thrones’ Season 8 Release Date

Williams says a quote attributed to her was pulled from an old interview and has nothing to do with the still-unknown ‘GOT’ season 8 premiere date.

N*E*R*D Shares Cover Art and Release Date for New Album

N*E*R*D just announced the release date for their long-awaited new album. NO_ONE EVER REALLY DIES will be available on Dec. 15 for everyone who missed its surprise ComplexCon unveiling. The trio also shared what appears to be the album cover, which will certainly look nice saved to one's Apple Music library.

A post shared by N.E.R.D (@nerd) on Nov 22, 2017 at 5:00am PST

The album boasts N*E*R*D-worthy contributions from a variety of artists including Future and Kendrick Lamar, as well as André 3000 and Rihanna on the previously released tracks “Rollinem 7's” and “Lemon.” Ed Sheeran, Gucci Mane, Wale, and M.I.A. also make appearances.

You'll find the NO_ONE EVER REALLY DIES tracklist below:
1. “Deep Down Body Thirst”
2. “Lemon” f/ Rihanna
3. “Voilà” f/ Gucci Mane and Wale
4. “1000” f/ Future
5. “Don't Don't Do It” f/ Kendrick Lamar
6. “Kites” f/ Kendrick Lamar and M.I.A.
7. “ESP” 8. “Lightning Fire Magic Prayer”
9. “Rollinem 7’s” f/ André 3000
10. “Lifting You” f/ Ed Sheeran
11. “Secret Life of Tigers”

The album marks the trio's first one in seven years, following the 2010 release of Nothing. The 10-track collection was supported by the singles “Hypnotize U” and “Hot-n-Fun” featuring Nelly Furtado.

Amazingly, we are now a mere two years away from the band's 20th anniversary, a milestone I personally hope results in a tour featuring Pharrell and company shredding through their debut, In Search Of…, in full all across the world. I couldn't possibly be the only person still obsessively listening to “Rock Star” at least once a day.

Watch Klay Thompson Do the Most Random Interview Ever While Walking Around NYC

After playing against the Nets in Brooklyn on Sunday night, the Warriors had an off day on Monday. And that gave a couple of Golden State stars the opportunity to fulfill some media obligations in New York City.

Steph Curry stopped by The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon on Monday night, and during his appearance on the show, he spoke about everything from serving as a taste-tester for his wife Ayesha at home to having his own line of Under Armour sneakers. He also made a well-timed joke about Fallon’s decision to take up “smoking” as a hobby while he was on the show. You can check out Curry’s appearance on The Tonight Show (“smoking” joke at the 1:20 mark) below.

But that was far from the most newsworthy media appearance made by a member of the Warriors on Monday. Because while Curry was taping his Tonight Show segment, his teammate Klay Thompson was off taking part in a media appearance of his own, and it involved a very important topic: Scaffolding. Yes, scaffolding.

If you’ve ever walked around New York City, you know that scaffolding is literally everywhere. It’s hard to walk for more than a block without having to walk under it. And somehow, Fox 5 in NYC was lucky enough to land a man on the street interview with Thompson, who talked about his approach to scaffolding as he made his way around the Big Apple on Monday. You can check out a portion of the interview below.

“I usually observe if the piping and stuff is new,” Thompson, who was identified as “NBA Player” by Fox 5, said. “Sometimes, you know, if it’s something that looks like it’s been there awhile, I kind of try to avoid that.”

If this seems like the most random interview you’ve ever seen an NBA player do, you’re not alone. This clip of Thompson talking scaffolding has been making the rounds on social media, and it’s been getting quite a reaction out there.

Can we request more clips of Thompson talking to local news people in every city he visits? The Warriors travel to Oklahoma City to take on the Thunder on Wednesday night. Good luck topping this, OKC.

Did XXXTentacion Announce a Release Date for His Debut Album?

XXXTentacion just announced a release date for an album called 17 via Instagram. It's set to drop on Aug. 25, the same day as Action Bronson's Blue Chips 7000.

In the same post, he described the project as “absolutely amazing,” saying that it’s “the first time I’ve put my all into a project.” But he also hinted that this album might not sound like his past body of work. He added that “if you listen to me to get hype or to not think, don’t buy this album, this one is for the depression, the depressed ones, the lost ones.”

A source from the rapper’s label, EMPIRE, says, “EMPIRE will be here to support XXXTentacion with the release when he decides to want to drop it.” That means X could withhold the album for whatever reason, as release dates almost always get pushed back.

A post shared by ORIGINAL XXXTENTACION FANPAGE (@xtentaciion) on Jul 30, 2017 at 10:47am PDT

The announcement comes after the rapper announced (also on Instagram) that he was “going to disappear for a little while” and also after he unexpectedly postponed The Revenge Tour for a second time. Both incidents came after a turbulent couple of weeks that had XXXTentacion caught in a violent beef with San Diego rapper Rob Stone, accidentally thrown into a barricade instead of a crowd by his own security, and allegedly punching a fan at a concert.

XXXTentacion has been known to unexpectedly drop new projects: in May of this year, the Florida rapper released Revenge, a short collection of eight of his newest songs at the time, including “Look At Me!” and the Diplo-produced “Looking for a Star.”

French Airport Worker Allegedly Punches EasyJet Passenger Holding a Baby

EasyJet, a European budget airline, has become the latest airline to have to go into damage control after getting dumped on, following an incident where someone on their ground staff popped a passenger in the face who also happened to be holding a baby. (Though, frankly, the narrative of this story could have just as easily been passenger holding baby shoves airport worker since The Sun had video showing what appeared to be just that moments prior to the punch. A lot of our media brethren seemed to have not watched or made any sort of note of that).

Additionally, The Sun notes that a witness told them the worker had earlier knocked the same man's phone out of his hand after he had tried to take a picture of him (which is probably what that hand wave was).

The blow went down at Nice airport in France, and allegedly occurred after the passenger complained about a flight delay for their trip to London that was anywhere between 11 and 13 hours (depending on who you believe). Arabella Arkwright, who shot the below picture and posted it to Twitter, said “It was awful the whole thing. I just can't believe people can behave like that.” Sounds like she's new to budget airlines:

Arkwright went on to tell CNN that her husband restrained the employee while waiting for police to show up. The man who was on the receiving end of the punch was initially taken away but was allowed to go back to the flight when it eventually took off. Arkwright adds that the dude had a visible mark from the altercation on his face.

As for EasyJet, they denied that the worker was employed by them. Instead they stated that his checks were written by a subcontractor named Samsic:

The airport also did their best to nip this as closely to the bud as possible.

Nice Airport confirms the altercation last night between a passenger and an agent of a subcontracting company. The police was called immediately and took in charge both of them,” they said in a statement on Facebook. “Whatever the circumstances, the airport management firmly condemns this incident and has immediately asked that this staff member to be suspended. The images of the CCTV cameras were transmitted to the DDPAF which will determine after investigation the exact circumstances and the follow-up to this incident.”

On that note the employee reportedly was suspended. Not exactly a shocking revelation…but a pertinent detail nonetheless.
