Young Thug Says He Wants to Work With XXXTentacion

A Young Thug and XXXTentacion collaboration? It could happen if Thugger gets his way.

On Friday night, the Atlanta rapper hit up Instagram Live to share a snippet of a low-tempo track that could eventually feature XXX.

“I want y’all to tag [XXXTentacion],” he said before previewing the cut. “[…] I like this young nigga.  He’s one of the only young niggas that I like. He’s really dope. I want y’all to tag him. I want him featured on this.”

It’s unclear when the track is expected to drop, as Thug previously announced he would not release any new material until 2019: “I’ve got a deaf brother,” he told Hypebeast back in February. “I’ve got a brother who can’t hear or talk, so I want to act deaf for a year. So I ain’t going to put out no music this year.”

Some fans are skeptical about the claim, especially in light of Birdman’s recent announcement that he and Thug may deliver Rich Gang 2 before summer’s end. Could this newly previewed record be part of the upcoming Rich Gang project? We’ll have to wait and see.

As of Saturday afternoon, XXX had not responded to Thugger’s video.

The 20-year-old Florida rapper faced more assault allegations late last month, after a newly surfaced video from 2013 showed him punching a woman. XXX's legal team, however, claims the video was not as severe as it seemed, and suggested the alleged victim is simply interested in making a quick buck.

“This ‘terrified’ woman decides to post this video now, conveniently, when [XXX] becomes famous,” attorney Jaclyn Broudy told TMZ. “Draw your own conclusions.”

On Saturday, XXX announced he would host a paintball “war” to raise awareness about gun violence.

“OK, so next Saturday, we're doing an event called Put Down the Guns,” he said in a video. “Paintball war. Broward vs. Dade County. Come.”

LeBron James and Ben Simmons Share Instagram Props After Dueling Triple-Doubles

After a 132-130 win that went down to the wire and saw his Philadelphia 76ers surpass the Cleveland Cavaliers in the NBA’s Eastern Conference standings Friday, Philadelphia’s Ben Simmons used his Instagram account to show respect to the man widely regarded as the NBA’s best player.

FRESH PRINCE X KING JAMES 👑

A post shared by Ben Simmons (@bensimmons) on Apr 6, 2018 at 9:04pm PDT

“Fresh Prince X King James,” Simmons wrote as a caption to a picture of he and LeBron James embracing after the 76ers pulled off the win. Both Simmons and James put up triple-doubles, as Simmons dropped 27 points, 13 assists, and 15 rebounds. While James took some heat for missing a potentially game-tying free throw, he led the Cavaliers with 44 points, 11 rebounds, and 11 assists.

Off the court, James gave the all-important IG nod of approval to Simmons’ nickname for the matchup.

“Fresh Prince X King James,” LeBron commented, while dropping no less than eight flame emojis.

“Ah, he was awful,” James joked, when asked about Simmons’ performance during postgame comments obtained by ESPN. “Come on, man. You’re asking these questions. He was great, of course.”

Friday’s win moved the 76ers a half-game ahead of the Cavs in the Eastern Conference playoff standings, as the Sixers and Cavs look to wrap up the regular season in the coming days.

The matching triple-doubles will likely add to the comparisons between James and Simmons, as both combine point guard ball handling and passing abilities with the size of a traditional power forwards. Both James and Simmons are also represented by Klutch Sports Group, which is owned by James’ friend and business partner Rich Paul.

New Billboard Challenges LeBron to Prove He’s the King of New York By Signing With the Knicks

A New York marketing company has taken LeBron's James' recruitment into their own hands by daring the four-time MVP to prove he's the “King of New York” by signing with the Knicks this summer. The sign was put up between 31st and 32nd streets on 7th Avenue, which is to say it faces the entrance of Madison Square Garden. So, yeah, that'll probably do it.

In fairness, the company did admit that the likelihood of LeBron joining the team was extraordinarily slim but, whatever, worst case scenario is it still brings attention to your business.

“Some of you may think we’re crazy and say there’s no chance he ends up in NY. I think why not ?,” they wrote on Instagram. “If you talk the talk you gotta walk the walk. You want to be considered the goat? Legend? Icon? I think the best way to solidify all that is winning a chip in NY a place that hasn’t seen it in 40 years the Mecca of basketball (Lebron's words) So I say you call yourself the King? PROVE IT this is the best place to do it.”

For the uninitiated, the message is referencing a moment last November when LeBron declared himself the Big Apple's king after a comeback victory over the Knicks.

You're welcome.. 👑of NY #myfavoriteplayground #striveforgreatness🚀

A post shared by LeBron James (@kingjames) on Nov 14, 2017 at 7:26am PST

The billboard is just the latest one to try to woo LeBron into signing a contract this offseason as, previously, signs went up in Philadelphia, Los Angeles, and Akron. What we're saying is, more creativity would be appreciated. Dig deep.

Cardi B Is Cardi Boseman in ‘Saturday Night Live’ Promo

Saturday Night Live is watchable this weekend for two undeniable reasons: Cardi B and Chadwick Boseman.

Late Thursday night, NBC did that thing they always do where they have the current week’s host and musical guest stand in front of a camera with an SNL cast member. Much like Cardi and Chadwick's presence on this weekend's new episode makes it watchable, so too does their presence in this batch of promos. See for yourself below:

Cardi's expertly timed SNL appearance arrives amid Invasion of Privacy mania. The album, Cardi's studio debut, dropped Friday and will undoubtedly open at the top of the Billboard 200. The record avoids the arguably overpacked vibes of recent high-profile releases by keeping the experience at a concise 13 tracks. Migos, Chance the Rapper, SZA, 21 Savage, and J Balvin are among the features.

Boseman is fresh off the massive success of Black Panther, which just last month was designated the most tweeted about movie in history. Thankfully, Ryan Coogler's Marvel smash will soon kick Titanic out of the coveted Top 3 Biggest Movies Ever club. As of Tuesday, the film had bagged just over $650 million in the U.S. and was less than $7 million away from taking the No. 3 spot from the—let's face it—extremely overrated James Cameron ship-sinking romp.

Justin Timberlake Reunites With That Super Bowl Selfie Kid

After getting more than enough time to do his Google research on that singer who took a selfie with him during his Super Bowl LII halftime performance, 13-year-old Ryan McKenna was reunited with Justin Timberlake Wednesday night when the Man of the Woods Tour stopped over in Boston. “Great time meeting @justintimberlake #manofthewoodstour !! #selfie,” McKenna wrote on his Instagram account which is aptly-titled selfiekid.

A post shared by Ryan Mckenna (@selfiekid) on Apr 5, 2018 at 5:02am PDT

Timberlake liked the photo, adding, “Great finally meeting you!”

After taking the Super Bowl Selfie with JT, McKenna appeared on The Ellen DeGeneres Show where the singer called in to invite Ryan and his family to his show in Boston, so the two can properly meet, and take a “second selfie together.” A “Backstage Selfie,” which is probably what JT shouted after the picture was taken.

If that offer wasn’t good enough, the NFL also came through with a gift for the “VIP experience” to a New England Patriots home game next season for McKenna and his family, as well as four pre-game field passes.

Instead of snapping another selfie with this kid, why couldn’t JT try and work something out with former Eagles wide receiver Freddie Mitchell, who was standing just a few feet away

DJ Esco, Future, and O.T. Genasis Drop Smoky “Bring It Out” Video

Kolorblind isn't even a week old and we've already been hit with multiple visuals.

For the latest, DJ Esco linked up with GT Films to flip “Bring It Out” into a fittingly smoky video featuring O.T. Genasis and frequent collaborator Future. Catch it in full below:

Kolorblind, as promised, was a super stacked affair. Front-to-back features from Future stand alongside memorable collabs with Ty Dolla Sign, Schoolboy Q, Young Thug, and more. The album's title is a nod to Esco's belief that “no boundaries” exist. “When you listen to the music, it's purely enjoyment for musical purposes,” he explained on release day.

Starting this month, Esco is hosting a weekly residency at Drai's Beachclub and Nightclub in Las Vegas that will likely feature a heavy helping of Kolorblind cuts.

Future's next major project, as far as we know, revolves around musically capturing the spirit of Director X's upcoming Superfly. “With Superfly, the cast and I were focused on paying homage to the original film, while bringing something new and fresh,” X told Complex when dropping the film's first trailer last month. “I'm excited for everyone to see this movie the cast and crew worked so hard on.”

Drake Claps Back at Everyone Clowning His Durag Selfie

Drake is no stranger to ridicule. The so-called “sensitive rapper” has been the object of myriad memes and the target of jokes about everything from his time as Wheelchair Jimmy on Degrassi: The Next Generation to his frequently awkward decisions.

In the latest bout of Drake-mocking, Instagrammers are making fun of his selfie where he wears a gradient-designed durag and is seemingly pursing his lips in a duck face. The pic was posted by Toronto comedian Trey Richards who called Drizzy “Duey P Newton in the Gradient Du.”

He also tagged Champagne Papi. The comments were then filled with crying laughing emojis, lols and lmaos as Instagrammers made fun of Drake's latest fashion choice. Upon seeing the comments, it turns out Drizzy had enough with the slander by claiming he looks fresh. So clearly, everyone else must be haters.

“Wooooowww its crazy to see how people hate on how fleek I look in the gradient dueyyy I Pree’d nuff of your profiles and you mans are waste from ends that nobody rates ah lie?” read Drake's rebuttal in the comments section that was caught by a fan site.

LeBron James Joins Justin Timberlake on Stage to Drink Shots

Justin Timberlake fans in Cleveland received a wonderful surprise on Saturday night during the pop star's sold-out concert at Quicken Loans Arena. Concertgoers understandably went nuts when Timberlake brought Lebron James on stage. James did not come empty-handed: He brought a tray full of shots for Timberlake and his dancers.

This may not have been a huge surprise to the superfans: Timberlake was seen at Friday's Cleveland Cavaliers game against the New Orleans Pelicans (the same game where James surpassed Michael Jordan’s consecutive double-digit scoring record). The two exchange some friendly words while covering their lips with their collars to fend off intrigued lip-readers.

In February, Timberlake earned his fourth No. 1 album with Man of the Woods. The accompanying tour was just as successful, reaching the $100-million mark during its early stages. Arthur Fogel, president of global touring for Live Nation, said, “We've got 50 shows on sale in North America and 16 in Europe, and we're over 700,000 tickets [sold] and $100 million gross… It’s huge.”

Is This Proof Conor McGregor Will Make a WrestleMania Appearance?

Conor McGregor has plenty of free time on his hands right now. With no UFC bout on the docket and a rematch with Floyd Mayweather still just a pipe dream, he has been waiting in the wind for the right opportunity to come along. Could that opportunity present itself at WrestleMania in early April?

The idea of McGregor taking his talents to the WWE isn’t exactly new. People have been speculating about the possibility of McGregor making the jump to the WWE for years now, even though he hasn’t exactly shown a lot of love to pro wrestlers. Just last week, John Cena said McGregor would put him—and a bunch of other wrestlers—out of work if he ever decided to wrestle full time.

💪🏼🇮🇪

A post shared by Conor McGregor Official (@thenotoriousmma) on Mar 29, 2018 at 12:25pm PDT

But it sounds like McGregor might finally be ready to take the plunge into the world of pro wrestling—if you believe the latest betting odds. The online gambling website Oddschecker just announced that they’re giving McGregor 7/4 odds of appearing at WrestleMania 34. For those unfamiliar with betting odds, that isn’t exactly a slam dunk, but it is an indication that a WrestleMania appearance for McGregor is far from out of the question.

It would make all the sense in the world for McGregor to surprise everyone at WrestleMania. As we mentioned, he doesn’t have a whole lot else going on at the moment. Ronda Rousey will also be featured prominently at the event this year, which means a UFC takeover could be on deck.

But whether McGregor pops up or not, this latest rumor proves that the McGregor-to-the-WWE chatter is going to persist. And it’s starting to feel like it’s only a matter of time before he shows up at a WWE event.
