Lorde hasn’t released a single since 2014’s “Yellow Flicker Flame,” and we were all pretty much on the edge of our seats waiting for “Green Light” to finally drop today. After being teased with epically short clips on Twitter and a custom website over the past two days, “Green Light” is now available in full and it’s a great return to form.
Although it lacks some of the traditional house elements, influences of EDM at 128-130ish BPM can clearly be heard in the bridge before the chorus, and even in the main chorus thanks to a steady four on the floor kick. Regardless of classification, there’s no doubt that Lorde’s clout and the quality of the track will make this an instant radio hit.
We never thought we’d see the day, but Maarten Vorwerk just released a new original on Spinnin’ Records with Mazare and Matthew Steeper entitled “You’re The One.”
Featuring swelling synths and powerful vocals from Steeper and some unnamed female vocalist, “You’re The One” is strangely addicting. It follows closely along with the pop/EDM formula, with vocals resembling those of All-American Rejects or Plain White T’s, giving it an extremely wide range to appeal to all fans.

Chris Lake was kind enough to spend time in an interview with EDM Sauce just a couple months ago as he wrapped up the Chris LakeRising Tour in Hollywood with TJR, Nom De Strip, and Hotmouth. Now he’s set for another huge year in 2014. A month ago he released “Helium,” featuring vocals from British singer/songwriter Jareth, and the tune was premiered in an Herbal Essences campaign during the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show on December 10th. Check out the ad below and his single “Helium” which is available now on iTunes or Beatport.
Known for hit collaborations like “Boneless” with Steve Aoki last year, he’s an essential name in the dance music scene of past and present. He’s a great host and does not lack any sarcasm. We even found an old home video from Deadmau5 today that was uploaded seven years ago and these two haven’t seemed to change one bit. Safe travels to the Lake crew as he takes on North America in February with upcoming shows in Edmonton (8th), Toronto (14th), New Jersey (15th), Los Angeles (20th), Calgary (21st), and Denver, Colorado (22nd).
