Migos, Cardi B, and Nicki Minaj’s “MotorSport” Is Here

After months of relentless teasing, the first single from Migos' Culture II has finally landed. “MotorSport” premiered Friday morning on the Breakfast Club shortly after the hosts endured a peculiar conversation with the Hillsong Church guy, just hours after a preview of the track landed on YouTube.

Migos also teased the new track during their performance at Power 105.1's Powerhouse at Barclays Thursday night.

Check the full version of the soon-to-be-everywhere collaboration, featuring Cardi B and Nicki Minaj, below via Spotify. Murda Beatz and CuBeatz provide production.

Though we still don't have a formal Culture II release date, the arrival of “MotorSport” means we should likely expect the project soon. Judging by Quavo's recent headline-spawning social media activity, the collection may include a variety of additional top-shelf collaborators.

Donald Glover, Lil Yachty, Drake, Chance the Rapper, Ty Dolla Sign, Big Sean, Travis Scott, and Kanye West have all been either been seen in the studio with Quavo or heard in frustratingly brief clips of already completed collabs. Culture II also boasts a mystery executive producer, with many album hype theorists predicting their identity as being synonymous with 🐐.

Cardi B and Nicki Minaj, thankfully, also have new projects on the way. For Cardi B, the release will mark her debut studio album and arrives on the wave of hype cultivated by one of the best (and biggest songs) of 2017.

That Time Gucci Mane Got Floured While He Was Sleeping

In the newest episode of Pigeons & Planes' What Had Happened Was, Atlanta producer Zaytoven recounts a musical collaboration that unfortunately never came to fruition.

Zaytoven explains how a studio session in Atlanta with Gucci Mane quickly escalated after a prank was played on the unsuspecting rapper. Having fun is great and all but if you learn anything from the video, it’s that you should know when playing too much, is well, too much. Check out the hilarious video above to see what exactly went down. Hint: It involves flour.

Luckily, it seems like Gucci was able to get past the incident as the pair have since worked together. If you missed it, check out Zaytoven and Gucci Mane do a stripped down set for NPR’s Tiny Desk performance series.

Gucci released his latest album The Return of East Atlanta Santa, his tenth studio outing, back in December of 2016. The album boasted features from Drake, Travis Scott, Bryson Tiller and  production from Metro Boomin, Southside, Mike Will Made It, Murda Beatz, Zaytoven, and others. Gucci will also be hitting the road alongside The Weeknd for his Legend of the Fall Tour.

What Had Happened Was premieres every Wednesday at 1:30 p.m. ET on P&P.

New Partynextdoor and Quavo Collaboration Surfaces

A new Partynextdoor and Quavo collaboration surfaced online. The track, possibly called “Team,” was spotted by HipHop-N-More Tuesday. The track is believed to feature production by Murda Beatz, i.e. the same dude who gave us Drake and Travis Scott's “Portland” and the underrated 2 Chainz single “It's a Vibe.”

The track was first teased by Quavo on Instagram back in March 2016:

Another Partynextdoor track, possibly called “It's Simple,” also appeared online this week.

Partynextdoor and Quavo previously collaborated on “More” and “Cuffed Up” in 2016, both featuring production by Murda Beatz.

Partynextdoor just released his Colours 2 EP with producer G. Ry at the top of this month. In an interview with Complex shortly after the EP's release, G. Ry outlined the importance of the Colours project. “These EPs are important to us because it's the canvas for me and Party to showcase our talents differently than what the fans are used to hearing and to the style of music people are hearing from other artist's at the time,” he said. As a producer, G. Ry added, it's his job to ensure new songs “sound differently” while still being able to sonically coexist.

Quavo is also expected to release an untitled collaborative project of some sort with Travis Scott soon. Though details of the project remain scarce, Scott told a Birds Eye View crowd earlier this month that he and Quavo had been hard at work in the studio.

Travis Scott Says Quavo Album Is ‘Coming Soon’ and Might Be a Surprise Drop

It sounds like Travis Scott is baking the element of surprise into the rollout for his collaborative album with Quavo. In an interview with GQ, the G.O.O.D. Music rapper was asked about the highly anticipated project, and while he didn't give a lengthy answer, he made it clear fans shouldn't expect too much warning when it arrives.

“The Quavo album is coming soon,” he said. “I'm dropping new music soon. You know how I do it though: I like surprises.”

Travis previously teased the project back in April when he shared two song previews on Zane Lowe's Beats 1 radio show. One of the tracks, “Lo-Fi,” was produced by Murda Beatz, who spoke with Complex about how it came together. “We made that in L.A.,” he said. “I made the beat and then we made the song. That song's a banger. I just know that's gonna be a smash.”

Travis was also asked about the title of the album, to which he replied: “We're all about surprises.” If there's one thing Travis has been into lately, it's surprises. Just last night, the rapper dropped three new tracks on SoundCloud, one of them being a collaboration with Playboi Carti.

This should build up more hype for Travis' 2017, which will not only include the collaborative project with Quavo, but also his third studio album Astroworld.

You can catch Travis on his Birds Eye View Tour through June. He'll also be joining Kendrick Lamar on the road for the Damn Tour; that begins in July.

Nicki Minaj Fires Back at Remy Ma on “No Frauds”

Nicki Minaj was going to respond to Remy Ma—we just didn't know when. The Queens rapper has finally broken her silence on wax with her new song, “No Frauds,” which also boasts features from fellow Young Money members Lil Wayne and Drake. However, the storyline everyone will be talking about for the next 48 hours is Nicki taking shots at Remy Ma.

As a refresher, Nicki took the radio silence route after Remy Ma went for the jugular a few weeks back with her diss track “shETHER.” No response led to Remy going back in her bag to drop a second diss, “Another One,” which, based on consensus, ended up being a misfire. It was a move that arguably turned her upper hand status into desperation, as Remy went on a promo run about the Nicki beef while Nicki kept it cool, calm, and collected.

And now here we are, with Nicki getting off bars in Remy's direction over Murda Beatz and CuBeatz's booming backdrop. Though she doesn't say Remy by name, the jabs are undeniable. We're not talking a few lines; a majority of her verse was dedicated to Remy. Peep below via Genius:

Tried to drop “Another One,” you was itchin' to scrap
You exposed your ghostwriter, now you wish you were scrapped
Heard your pussy on “yuck,” I guess you needed a pap
What type of bum bitch shoot a friend over a rap?
What time of mother leave her one son over a stack?
Lil biddy down basic bitch thinkin' she back
Back to back, oh you mean, back to wack?
“Back to Back”? Me and Drizzy laughed at that
They say numbers don't matter
But when they discussing the kings
They turn around and say LeBron ain't got six rings
I never signed a 360, bitch you wild dumb
That's why Jay ain't clear his verse for your album
Shanaynay, you a fraud committin' perjury
I got before and after pictures of your surgery
Rah took you to her doc, but you don't look like Rah
Left the operating table, still look like “nah”

Nicki also aims at Remy on “Changed It” with Lil Wayne (“This hoe getting slick so I put on gym shoes, extended my run”), but “No Frauds” is the clear takeaway from tonight and has Twitter on fire. Listen to “No Frauds” on Apple Music or below on Spotify. We suspect a response is forthcoming from Remy Ma, and we probably won't have to wait too long.

Nicki Minaj Drops Three New Singles

Nicki Minaj has spent the last week and change in Paris living it up at fashion shows, debuting new looks for the gram, and generally ignoring Remy Ma's back-to-back disses and the criticism that came with it. On Thursday night, the Queens rapper returned with three new singles for her fans: “Regret in Your Tears,” “Changed It,” and “No Frauds”—the last of which contains some long-awaited shots back at Remy.

Nicki teased the songs earlier today with the hashtag #3PackFromPARIS.

There were rumors on Wednesday that a new Nicki track would be coming with Drake and Weezy featured. Shouts to Mack Maine for assisting in getting them all back together last month. As it turns out, Drake is featured on one of the three songs, and Wayne is featured on two.
