Insomniac Unveils Brand New Dedicated Dreamstate Stage To Debut at EDC Las Vegas 2017

The Electric Daisy Carnival community was gifted a special surprise last week when Pasquale Rotella, Founder and CEO of Insomniac, leaked the news that a never before seen stage will debut at EDC Las Vegas 2017. Insomniac’s dedicated trance brand, Dreamstate, will present quantumVALLEY for three days of the best sounds across the genre. Legendary artists from around the globe will take over the massive structure for the largest stand-alone Dreamstate audience to-date, marking the brand’s fifth EDC hosted appearance and its first journey through all three nights of EDC Las Vegas.

Insomniac’s fastest growing brand, Dreamstate, was introduced in 2015 to thousands of fans at the inaugural SoCal event in San Bernardino, California. Since then, the brand has traveled to six cities in four countries including Australia, Mexico, and the UK, proving trance is anything but dead. Last year, Dreamstate brought a monumental crowd of trance lovers to the circuitGROUNDS stage in Las Vegas, showcasing performances from icons like Paul Oakenfold, Ferry Corsten, Paul van Dyk, Markus Schulz, and Aly & Fila. Previous Dreamstate stage designs, each uniquely different from the other, have raised the festival production bar with visually compelling lasers, futuristic costumed characters and immersive audio environments.

1000Volts, AKA Redman & Jayceeoh, Drop New Mix On Diplo & Friends

Hip Hop/Dance Music supergroup 1000Volts, AKA hiphop icon Redman and producer/turntablist Jayceeoh, are making some of the most bass heavy crossover music in the game right now. 1000volts has just shared their debut Diplo & Friends Mix, featuring the world premiere of their highly anticipated collaboration with Zeds Dead, among other IDs from Jaykode, Rickyxsan, Party Thieves, Meaux Green, and more.

The newly-formed duo has been dropping some serious tracks which have been making waves across the interweb. Their singles “I’m Gone” and “Bitch I’m Lit” are the nicest mix of old school Redman mixed with modernized dance music.

For those of you who have been sleeping under a rock for the last 20 years, Redman has been killing the hiphop game since the 90s. The rapper and record producer has been on the rise since he has been working with Def Jam Records over twenty years ago. In addition to his solo career, he also had a separate project with his cousin Method Man called Method Man & Redman. The two cousins have not only been known for their musical talents, but have also starred in multiple movies; they even had their own sitcom Method & Red which was featured on Fox in 2003-2004. Redman has even been featured on the legendary MTV Cribs!

Last, and definitely not least, Jayceeoh is an artist of his own caliber. Jayceeoh is a professional turntablist/record producer who has been creating some of the most impressive bass music for years. The artist has seen releases on prestigious labels like Markus Schulz’s Coldharbour Recordings, Big Beat, Dim Mak, Buygore, and is the founder of his own imprint Super 7 Records.

Jayceeoh is fresh off his Australian tour and a huge 2016 which featured debuts at enormous festivals like Safe In Sound and Das Energi.

Don’t miss this hour long powerhouse of a mix by some of the dopest dudes in the game Redman and Jayceeoh. Stream and tracklist below!

Markus Schulz Reveals Details About Anticipated ‘Scream 2′ Album

Listen here: Markus Schulz Reveals Details About Anticipated ‘Scream 2′ Album

Today Markus Schulz announced more details about his highly anticipated ‘Scream 2‘ album. ‘Scream 2′ will be one of the trance albums of the year with 17 new tracks and will be released on February 21st on Armada Music.

Armada Music wrote that “you’ll no doubt realize that you’re experiencing something special. It’s an amazing ebb and flow of instrumental and vocal tracks that never let up throughout. And the production? To die for. Getting back to the tracks, “Lord Knows (feat. Liz Horsman)” and “Fireworks (with Klauss Goulart feat. Paul Aiden)” are next and great examples of how beyond beats and synths, the voice is an amazing instrument. Markus’ allows Liz Horsman and Paul Aiden, respectively, to lead the way here as both build drama leading to a massive release. It’s like an orchestra completely in synch and filling the room. Following the monstrous instrumental “In The Shadows,” Markus teams with CeCe Peniston – legendary vocalist and one of the most successful artists in dance music history – on “Make You Fall.” Together, Markus and CeCe bring a depth and passion rarely seen in dance music these days. Next, “Mango” and “Mardi Gras” is a fierce locomotive through the dance floor leading to “Gravity (feat. Amy Kirkpatrick);” one that leaves you hanging just above the clouds before hitting the ground running again with “Reflection.” Markus closes the door on this second chapter in the Scream series with “Towards The Sun (with Rex Mundi).” A warm ambience builds into 4/4 bliss with the promise of great days ahead. There you go…a remarkable album from start to finish.”

New World Punx Premiere Music Video For ‘Romper’

Listen here: New World Punx Premiere Music Video For ‘Romper’

The super group trance duo New World Punx that is made up of Ferry Corsten and Markus Schulz have just released the official music video for their new track “Romper.” Here Markus Schulz told Billboard that “We have our loyal trance fans and we’ll never abandon them. Trance fans are the most loyal fans in the world. But at the same time it’s like, we’re out to prove that trance doesn’t have to be rainbows and unicorns. It can be fun and not just so serious. For a while it got too serious. There were too many love songs.”
