Lady Gaga and Joe Biden Team Up for Powerful Message About Sexual Assault Awareness

The pop star and forever Vice President are collaborating on the “It’s On Us” sexual assault awareness initiative.

Justin Bieber Teases First Solo Song in Years

Even though it’s been almost two years since Justin Bieber’s last official album, the radio waves have not lacked for new Bieber music. He’s on two song of the summer contenders this year alone. But, fire features notwithstanding, it’s been a minute since we got new solo music from JB.

That’s about to change this week though, as the megastar tweeted out what appears to be the cover art for a new track he plans to drop on Thursday. The song is titled “Friends,” and along with Justin, the artwork lists Bloodpop, which serves as a major indicator to how this new track might sound.

If the name sounds familiar, it’s because Blood appears several times on the liner notes for Purpose, with production credits on “Mark My Words,” “I”ll Show You,” and most importantly, “Sorry.” It stands to reason then, that “Friends” will be more in that vein: tropical, summery, with an EDM/dance twinge and radio catnip. AKA, Bieber doing what he does best.

The move comes just weeks after Bieber made news by abruptly canceling his tour, so it’s a little surprising to see him releasing new music when we all assumed he was going to fall back for a while. For Bloodpop’s part, since working with Bieber he’s logged significant placements on Lady Gaga’s most recent album, as well as Haim’s latest single “Want You Back.”  So far, the two are 3 for 3 on collabs, so it's basically a scientific guarantee that “Friends” will be fire as well. For more on what we expect from Justin's new song, watch the video above.

Bag Raiders – ‘Shooting Stars’ is A Huge Hit Again

Bag Raiders are partying like it’s 2009 because their hit ‘Shooting Stars’ just made a comeback, popping up in Billboard’s Hot Dance/Electronic Songs at #11.

Shoutout to Lady Gaga, the internet, and specifically, this meme for making it happen…

The track also jumped (pun intended) to #13 on the Dance/Electronic Streaming Songs chart and #7 on the Dance/Electronic Digital Song Sales chart, arguably making it every bit as iconic as Lady Gaga’s performance and The Super Bowl in general.

Ok, maybe we’re taking it too far… But, if you have spent any time on the internet, you know there’s an infinite amount of amazing ‘Shooting Stars’ memes out there. The song itself is pretty great, too.

The best part about this whole thing — Bag Raiders love it, support it, and don’t want it to stop.

Lady Gaga Will Replace Beyoncé At Coachella

According to sources close to Billboard, Lady Gaga will replace Beyoncé both weekends on the polo fields. These sources say that Coachella and AEG are finalizing plans to bring Lady Gaga’s stage production to the festival and will make the official announcement in a matter of days.

This comes at odds with a previous rumor that Rihanna and Chance The Rapper would co-headline the festival both weekends, as well as a rumor having to do with a possible Spring Tour from Daft Punk.

In a previous article on betting odds, Lady Gaga was listed fourth most likely to replace Beyonce, with 7:1 odds on her – so pretty spot on. Gaga’s Joanne World Tour kicks off Aug. 1 at Rogers Arena in Vancouver, B.C., and includes three nights at the Forum in Los Angeles as well as stops at iconic stadiums like Wrigley Field in Chicago, Citi Field in New York and Fenway Park in Boston.

Daft Punk Have 3:1 Odds Of Headlining Coachella In Beyonce’s Stead

After the announcement yesterday that Beyonce would not be performing at Coachella this year, the rumor began spinning at full force to try and figure out who would be taking her place. Guesses ranging from Daft Punk to Chance The Rapper have been dominating news feeds over the past 24 hours. Now, UK betting company Betfair has released odds on who will take over.

Stemming from the bevy of rumors surrounding their return, Daft Punk are clear favorites to take over, despite them not having been booked in the first place. Their last run at Coachella was actually in 2006, despite their live album being titled Alive 2007. It would still make sense for them to make an appearance, though.

Naomi Totten, a spokesperson for Betfair, said: “Rumours have been circulating about a tour for Daft Punk and what a spectacular way to kick off their revival than by headlining Coachella. With Beyoncé now officially very pregnant, she has had to rule herself out of the April festival and so all attention is now focused on who will be wowing the crowds in her absence.

Kanye West has been out of the spotlight since cancelling his ‘Saint Pablo’ tour last year and is likely itching for a comeback, the rapper is 7/1 joint second favourite with Lady Gaga who absolutely smashed her Super Bowl performance early in February. Beyoncé most famous fan girl Adele is also in the running at 50/1 but has always made it clear she isn’t keen on playing big festivals, so may be a nice fit but would be a surprising addition to the line-up.”

See the Betfair odds below.

Daft Punk 3/1
Jay Z 5/1
Kanye West 7/1
Lady Gaga 7/1
Green Day 15/2
The Weeknd 10/1
Rihanna 10/1
Bruno Mars 12/1
Katy Perry 12/1
Frank Ocean 12/1
Chainsmokers 12/1
Ed Sheeran 16/1
Taylor Swift 18/1
Justice 18/1
Drake 20/1
Coldplay 25/1
Solange 25/1
Clean Bandit 25/1
Dua Lipa 25/1
Rag ‘n’ Bone Man 33/1
Kygo 33/1
Zayn 33/1
Justin Bieber 50/1
Maroon 5 50/1
Robin Schulz 50/1
Martin Garrix 50/1
Ariana Grande 50/1

DJ Snake’s Experience At Super Bowl LI Is Hilarious

As was made plainly apparent in his Snapchat story yesterday, DJ Snake doesn’t really understand American football. To be honest, it’s perfectly understandable – the rules are a complete mish mash and the penalties often make no sense to those uneducated on the sport.

That didn’t stop DJ Snake from making his way to Houston to watch the big game.

During the halftime show with Lady Gaga, Snake even captioned his video of “Born This Way” with “I Forgot That I Produced This Record” and a laughing emoji. Well, the joke’s on Snake… he didn’t produce “Born This Way.” He produced “Government Hooker.”

The remainder of his snaps range from going to the men’s bathroom, peering at cheerleaders, and getting fish tacos. But the whole thing is honestly hilarious from start to finish. Check it out:

EDM DJs React To Super Bowl 51

With Super Bowl 51 halfway through, the Atlanta Falcons leading the New England Patriots 21-3many of dance music’s most notable DJs have taken to Twitter to chime in on the game, the commercials and their own viewing plans.

From DJ Snake and his tweet about attending the Super Bowl for his very first American football game ever to SNBRN and his massive brick of celebratory marijuana, Twitter is alive with the good and bad from this year’s event. For those like Marshmello, Borgore and Felix Cartel, however, the game is less about, well, the game, and more about eating (and thinking about) food.

Check below for a full halftime round up of DJ tweets, and enjoy the sure-to-be memorable performance by Lady Gaga.

The Chainsmokers, Migos & More Reveal Their Favorite Superbowl Halftimes Of All Time

In anticipation of Lady Gaga’s halftime performance at this Sunday’s Superbowl, Billboard reached out to several of music’s most notable figures to ask their favorite and most memorable halftime shows from history. From Migos to The Chainsmokers to Mike Will Made It, the music industry’s most recognizable names chimed in to give their best Superbowl throwbacks just in time for this weekend’s game.

Andra Day, Mario and The Chainsmokers’ Alex Pall said that, in their opinion, the best halftime show ever was performed by the late Michael Jackson during Superbowl XXVII. Even though Jackson was his favorite, Alex Pall said that from now on, Bruno Mars and Beyonce should take over halftime shows.

“We still don’t know how he teleported around the stadium like he did but it was the most awesome thing ever. But since Michael is gone, we need to just let Beyonce and Bruno do every Super Bowl henceforth, no discussion. I’m pretty sure the entire world would get on board with this plan.”

Jeezy was in agreement with Pall, as he cast his vote for Bruno Mars’ Superbowl XLVIII show. “I like that guy, man. We should get in the studio — I have to hit him up.”

Migos’ Quavo said that Janet Jackson’s Superbowl XXXVIII show was the most memorable, while Chase Bryant chose The Rolling Stones and their Superbowl XL performance.

Finally, Mike Will Made It chose Beyonce as his favorite halftime performer, citing her iconic Superbowl 50 showcase.

DJ Snake Joins Interscope, Releases New Remix With Announcement

DJ Snake & AlunaGeorge - You Know You Like It

The man who wears his sunglasses anywhere has struck a very large and significant partnership with a major record label. Joining the roster that holds EDM champions Zedd, Disclosure, Nero, Cedric Gervais, Arty, and Destructo along with artists Lady Gaga, Ellie Goulding, Eminem, and many more, Interscope brings in DJ Snake to their all-star team of popular talent. To celebrate the momentous occasion for this Parisian sensation, he and the label are releasing remix of “You Know You Like It” by AlunaGeorge. Although the song has technically been online for over a year, they wanted to give it the exposure it deserves with the proper release that it has been waiting to have. That being said, do not think for a minute that DJ Snake is slowing down on music by any means. To the contrary, he has a number of new songs coming out on Interscope in the not-so-distant future. This is a new era for the French producer and one I personally look forward to.
