OWSLA To Open Pop-up Shop In New York

Skrillex’s record label and creative collective OWSLA has grown tremendously over the years to become one of dance music’s leaders in forward thinking bass music, but also streetwear and fashion as well. Following, their first pop-up store in downtown Los Angeles, which eventually became a permanent fixture, comes a second store across the country in New York City.

The new store will open this weekend on Sunday the 26th at American Beauty NYC. The store will be open from 12 noon to 7pm and simultaneously launch OWSLA-artist JOYRYDE’s official merchandise line RYDRWARE. JOYRYDE merchandise is currently available at his online store, but this might mark the first permanent physical retail location on the east coast and not yet available on OWSLA’s online store.

The store will open to plenty of fanfare including a 9PM afterparty at Slake which a to be determined, and presumably OWSLA-heavy, secret lineup. Afterparty tickets are available here starting at $20 before fees.

JOYRYDE Releases His Latest Bass House Heater, “I Ware House”

If you’ve seen JOYRYDE recently at all, you’ve heard this one. It’s one of the hardest tracks in his sets now, and we’re damn happy about it. Entitled “I Ware House,” this one is an homage to the warhouse rave movement of the early ’90s.

Though it still sounds modern in its execution, a lot of the rhythms and samples – and absolutely the meaning behind the track – come from ’90s house. And after the house section, JOYRYDE even goes hard trap in what is definitely one of the most surprising drops of the year so far. Even after that, there’s another dope drop we guarantee you won’t see coming.

i hope u all enjoy my new track.. i shot a video in a warehosue in downtown LA 2 days after i arrived to LA over a year ago i filmed in an old warehouse downtown but the footage came out unusable. i always felt like i owed it to that place to finish the job. so we went back down there and re shot these scenes. didnt want to shoot a professional dance routine or choreography, i wanted to shoot how normal people feel and move.. i wanted it to be natural.. music i hope you like my new video and track. J

Hunter Siegel Teases Remix of ‘Easy Go’ In Video Recap

It’s official guys, The Hoxton is saying goodbye. But who better to bid it farewell than one of the city’s finest: Hunter Siegel himself. Hunter Siegel will be closing out the world-famous Toronto venue in style while simultaneously celebrating the 2nd Anniversary of his No Neon parties, which have taken Toronto by storm over the last two years.

With guests such as Chocolate Puma, Hannah Wants, Zeds Dead, Drezo, Sleepy Tom, JOYRYDE and more, the party has become a staple within the Toronto nightlife scene for bass and g-house aficionados with the added mystery element of never knowing who might show up on a party night ready to b2b with the already announced guests. And now with the party’s spiritual home, The Hoxton, closing, it feels appropriate that we’re graced with a wonderful recap video.

The video below also features a preview of his official remix for “Easy Go” by Grandtheft and Delaney Jane, so definitely keep your eyes and ears for that as well.
