Daft Punk Have 3:1 Odds Of Headlining Coachella In Beyonce’s Stead

After the announcement yesterday that Beyonce would not be performing at Coachella this year, the rumor began spinning at full force to try and figure out who would be taking her place. Guesses ranging from Daft Punk to Chance The Rapper have been dominating news feeds over the past 24 hours. Now, UK betting company Betfair has released odds on who will take over.

Stemming from the bevy of rumors surrounding their return, Daft Punk are clear favorites to take over, despite them not having been booked in the first place. Their last run at Coachella was actually in 2006, despite their live album being titled Alive 2007. It would still make sense for them to make an appearance, though.

Naomi Totten, a spokesperson for Betfair, said: “Rumours have been circulating about a tour for Daft Punk and what a spectacular way to kick off their revival than by headlining Coachella. With Beyoncé now officially very pregnant, she has had to rule herself out of the April festival and so all attention is now focused on who will be wowing the crowds in her absence.

Kanye West has been out of the spotlight since cancelling his ‘Saint Pablo’ tour last year and is likely itching for a comeback, the rapper is 7/1 joint second favourite with Lady Gaga who absolutely smashed her Super Bowl performance early in February. Beyoncé most famous fan girl Adele is also in the running at 50/1 but has always made it clear she isn’t keen on playing big festivals, so may be a nice fit but would be a surprising addition to the line-up.”

See the Betfair odds below.

Daft Punk 3/1
Jay Z 5/1
Kanye West 7/1
Lady Gaga 7/1
Green Day 15/2
The Weeknd 10/1
Rihanna 10/1
Bruno Mars 12/1
Katy Perry 12/1
Frank Ocean 12/1
Chainsmokers 12/1
Ed Sheeran 16/1
Taylor Swift 18/1
Justice 18/1
Drake 20/1
Coldplay 25/1

Autograf – Nobody Knows (feat. WYNNE)

It seems that since we hit 2017, Autograf has just been busy cranking out the tunes nonstop. We already received two based around classic hip-hop and an official remix for Clean Bandit, and now we’ve got another original single.

“Nobody Knows” is a trip down classic Autograf memory lane with its wistful piano introductions highlighted by WYNNE’s soulful vocals. The creeping piano in the background continues to build tension till the perfect synths come alive in the “drop.” The overall somberness of this track and its haunting instrumental make it the darker younger brother to some of their brighter additions to their catalogue.

Jack Wins has made a name for himself as the go-to remixer for hits by Clean Bandit, Dua Lipa, and more, with Ed Sheeran now on that impressive resume. His remix of “Shape of You” starts off quickly with some synths before unleashing a bouncing yet melodic drop that’s guaranteed to light the dance-floor on fire.

OVERWERK Is Finally Coming to America

Listen here: OVERWERK Is Finally Coming to America

overwerk OVERWERK Is Finally Coming to America

Okay I need to preface this article with how much I love OVERWERK. A few years ago I was introduced to his music with his remix of Wolfgang Gartner’s ‘Space Junk’. It was such an exciting track at the time and a huge improvement on the original. Ever since then I have continued to follow OVERWERK and waited patiently for a tour that had dates in America. Finally the canadian born producer has announced a full US tour with dates all over the country.

If you are not familiar with OVERWERK’s music you need to take the time to visit his Soundcloud and poke around. His sound is unique to say the least, but also hard and euphoric as well as over the top catchy. Whenever he releases a new song I have to mentally prepare myself for it to be stuck in my head for the next few days. His latest work, a remix of Clean Bandit’s ‘Rather Be’, is just amazing. The way he works in his own style of sound design into the vocals and melody is fascinating.

OVERWERK is kicking off his tour in Seattle on Independence Day and wrapping it up over a month later in New York City. This is his first multi-event American visit and with a new single in the works by the name of ‘Exist’ the entire tour is bound to be filled with new music and good times. You can purchase tickets through Want Tickets here. So make sure you get your tickets today and get ready for a wild summer night when this producer/DJ visits your home town.
